I tried out the new Deepers 2X1 ®
In some cases it is absolutely necessary to use a VLF detector that is quite useful for inspecting a new prospective site. This detector permits the user to quickly determine if the area in question qualifies for a more thorough and deeper investigation. Good discrimination capabilities are indispensible for locating small and interesting targets close to the surface; the presence of small targets such as coins, jewelry, or small relics may indicate prior occupation of the terrain by an ancient people. According to the preliminary finds you can decided whether to conduct a search involving greater depths in order eventually find the more valuable deposits which in olden days were usually buried at these depths.
I particularly value the new Deepers 2X1® and was surprised by its versatility and the concept behind it. I think it is a brilliant idea to have at your disposal VLF and Pulse Induction, combined within the same piece of equipment. You can switch from one system to another in the matter of seconds…the time required to change the detector coil and flip the switch from left to right!
In VLF mode, this detector is very comfortable since it does not overwhelm you with adjustments unlike other detectors in this category. The VLF system of the Deepers 2X1® is automatic…it is not necessary to calibrate the detector to the prospective terrain in order to adjust the discrimination or sensitivity. It is user friendly and works almost instantaneously. The discrimination works very well, will discriminate anything ranging from a small nail to a tool. When the detector coil is placed over a junk target the sound will become choppy and will short out, you will immediately know that the target is rubbish. A gold, silver or copper coin, a ring, a small brooch, will be detected at a depth of approximately 6/8 inches. A small box/coffer will be detected at a depth of 12 to 16 inches. In this case, a detector will, when over top of the target, emit a clear and loud sound. You can learn to use it in 5 minutes.
In Pulse Induction mode the Deepers 2X1® becomes a powerful detector that can locate any deep target. The different features/adjustments this detector is equipped with are easy to use and the detector is quite stable. You are able to adjust the frequency, sensitivity, and the level of discrimination. The detector perfectly signals junk metal located close to the surface of the ground by showing you with the REJET diode which will change color from green to red and the sound will cut out when the coil is placed over top of the target. I dug a hole that was approximately 32 inches deep and buried a small box that I use for field tests, I later on put the detector in PI mode and passed the detector coil, the one that comes with the Deepers 2X1®, over top of the covered hole. The detector immediately and clearly indicated to me the presence of a deep target. Congratulations, this detector is incredible and will have many admirers in the whole world because of its uniqueness.

The Deepers 2X1® is the ideal detector for all searches. While using VLF mode I was able to verify its excellent discrimination capabilities in searching for coins and other targets located at depths of between 6 and 10 inhes. The detector does not make mistakes, if the target is junk it will, without fail,signal the user. In Pulse mode it can easilty detect a test target, using the 8 inch (diameter) black detector coil, measuring 8 X 12 inches at a depth of 32 inches. I was also able to find a larger target at a depth of 5 feet using the Hypersensitive coil. I think that nothing can escape you with this detector. This is the piece of equipment that I recommend to everyone because it is easy to use, great discrimination in VLF mode, and its outstanding depth capabilities in PI mode. This piece of equipment is ideal for everyone…the novice to the most seasoned expert. With a detector of this caliber it is truly a pleasure to be able to detect knowing that there is the possibility of, in any moment, discovering wonderful treasures. My sincerest thanks to Deepers Detectors for allowing me to submit this incredible new piece of equipment to a battery of tests. This detector will surely be succesful worldwide. “This is an excellent detector…there are no others like it! A VLF and a PI detector combined and contained in the same detector is a clever idea since in several occassions both types of detectors are needed. With the new Deepers 2X1® this problem has been resolved. It is very practical. In VLF mode I was able to validate that the discrimination works flawlessly. I passed the detector coil over top of a nail and about 2 inches away I was able to find a copper coin. While the detector coil was over top of the nail the sound was choppy and unstable but when I placed the detector coil over top of the coin the sound was clear. You cannot possibly commit an error.
In order to test out the PI (Pulse Induction) mode I placed a kilo (2.2 lb.) brass weight at the bottom of a 24 inches hole, covered the hole, and I passed over top of the hole with the black detector coil (PI mode coil). The detector emitted a strong sound to signal this target. Therefore fellow detector enthusists I recommend this detector that is ideal for any type of prospection. Later on I switched out the black coil for the Hypersensitive coil. I was surprised by its detection capability, especially when I was able to discover a heavy piece of old iron (probably a piece of farming equipment) at a depth of 47 inches. I can honestly say that with a Deepers 2X1® what ever you are looking for, you will find it. Bravo Deepers.”
